A highly experienced psychotherapist, fully accredited with the UKCP and BABCP

Charlotte Rose, Psychotherapy in Bristol and Online
Hi, I’m Charlotte. I’m a psychoanalytically minded psychotherapist, also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy. This translates to a commitment to understanding what might be going on beneath the surface, coupled with pragmatism towards facilitating tangible change.
My work in mental health services began over twenty years ago: First as a nurse, then as a CBT therapist, then re-training as a counselling psychologist. My doctorate and other continuing professional development has been predominantly psychodynamic.
Contributing to research has enriched my practice for several years. Recently, my research has explored the ways in which queer bisexual people made sense of their disordered eating and body image. I have also co-authored a recently published book about CBT for anorexia nervosa.
My working time is currently divided between my private practice and a senior psychology role in a specialised NHS eating disorder service. I appreciate the diversity of experience that this brings.
